Snoball with a Cop Brings Cool Treats and Community Connections
The Statesville Police Department enjoyed a sweet afternoon of conversation and community connection during Snoball with a Cop at Pelican’s SnoBalls in Downtown Statesville on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
The family-friendly event gave children, families, and other community members an opportunity to meet SPD officers in a relaxed and welcoming setting while enjoying a cool summer treat.
Building Relationships One Conversation at a Time
Throughout the event, officers spent time talking with attendees, answering questions, taking photos, and getting to know the people they serve. Children also had the opportunity to interact with officers and learn more about the Statesville Police Department.
Events like Snoball with a Cop help create positive connections outside of emergency situations and provide an informal way for community members to engage with local law enforcement.
A Sweet Treat for Local Kids
To make the afternoon even sweeter, the first 50 children received a free snoball. Pelican’s SnoBalls provided the perfect downtown setting for participants to cool off, spend time together, and enjoy good conversations on a warm summer day.
