Overnight Shooting Under Investigation on West Front Street
Statesville, NC – On Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to the 1300 block of West Front Street following reports of a person injured by gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that three individuals had sustained gunshot-related injuries. All three victims were transported to area hospitals, where they were evaluated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a large gathering of individuals was assembled in the 1300 block of West Front Street when gunshots were fired, resulting in injuries to the three victims.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
