Thank a Police Officer Day: A Moment of Reflection

Last Updated 9/19/2025Posted in Police News, Latest City News

Today (Saturday, September 20, 2025), communities across the country are observing Thank a Police Officer Day. It’s a reminder of the daily dedication, challenges, and sacrifices made by officers everywhere - including right here in Statesville.

For our department, this day is also about gratitude. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and for the trust and support we receive in return. The partnership between officers and residents is at the heart of what makes Statesville strong.

Service Beyond the Badge

Being a police officer means more than responding to emergencies. It’s about building relationships, protecting the vulnerable, and working hand-in-hand with neighbors to make our city safer. It means showing up, day after day, with a commitment to serve - even when the job is difficult.

Our Thanks to You

On this Thank a Police Officer Day, we want to take a moment to thank you - the residents of Statesville. Your encouragement, conversations, and support remind our officers why they do what they do. Every kind word, wave, or positive interaction reinforces the bond we share with our community.

Moving Forward Together

As we reflect on this day, we remain committed to our mission: to serve with integrity, compassion, and professionalism. Together, as officers and community members, we can continue building a safer, stronger Statesville.
