Statesville, NC – January 15, 2025 – On Sunday, January 12, 2025, at approximately 7:45 PM, officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 1500 W. Front Street. According to employees, two black males entered the store, demanded money, and left shortly after being unable to access the store’s safe.

As officers were investigating the incident, a second call came in at 8:15 PM reporting another armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 922 Shelton Avenue. Fortunately, no employees were harmed during either event.
