SPD Helps Celebrate Good Behavior at East Iredell Elementary

Last Updated 11/21/2025Posted in Police News, Latest City News

Students in Señora Torres’ 2nd grade class at East Iredell Elementary enjoyed a special good behavior celebration this week, thanks to a visit coordinated by School Resource Officer Long.

SRO Bell and K-9 Joko were a huge hit. Joko soaked up all the attention and pets from the students while SRO Bell talked about what it’s like working alongside a police K-9.

Officer Craig also joined the celebration, giving students a look at his traffic vehicle and demonstrating SPD’s drone. The class enjoyed asking questions, exploring the equipment, and learning more about how officers help keep the community safe.

SPD is proud to partner with local schools to celebrate student success and build positive connections. Thank you to SRO Long for organizing the visit, and congratulations to Señora Torres’ class for earning such a fun reward!
