Emergency Training Exercise at Northview School on February 7, 2025

Last Updated 2/3/2025Posted in Police News, Latest City News

On Friday, February 7, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, multiple emergency agencies, including the Statesville Police Department, Statesville Fire Department, Troutman Police Department, and Iredell-Statesville Schools, will conduct a disaster training exercise at Northview School.

This exercise will involve a large presence of police and fire personnel on campus throughout the day. Traffic barricades and police training signs will be in place in front of the school, but no road closures are expected.

The public should be aware that the drill will include simulated emergency scenarios with mock gunfire and injuries. No students will participate—all role players will be trained adult staff members.

This training is essential to improving emergency response coordination and ensuring the safety of our schools and community.
