Meet Officer Chris McBride, Statesville Police Department's New Lobby Officer
The Statesville Police Department is happy to announce that Officer Chris McBride has been reassigned to the role of Lobby Officer. Previously serving in the Traffic Division, Officer McBride brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new position. He is taking over from Officer Rodney Burleson, who retired earlier this month after a distinguished career.
As the new Lobby Officer, Officer McBride will be the face citizens see when they come into SPD Headquarters, open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. His duties will include patrolling, responding to dispatches and calls for assistance, testifying in court, and handling specialized equipment and communications. He will also maintain training, effect arrests, prepare reports, and operate a law enforcement vehicle in various conditions.
Officer McBride will engage with the public, provide information, mediate disputes, and participate in public relations activities to foster cooperative relationships. He will assist the public with questions and report completions, guide visitors, and handle lobby duties such as logging subpoenas and receiving packages.
With his training, experience, and commitment to the Statesville community, Officer McBride is an invaluable asset to our department. We look forward to his contributions in ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens.
